Current Design: Treeball
The current design, Treeball, is based around a simple organic form created using 'smart objects' with Adobe illustrator. The greyscale pallet does away with the distracting eye-catch elements and mood-shaping colour schemes that often seem to swamp modern marketing and commercial sites. Instead the only colour is to be found in the galleries and projects which form the core content of the site. This scheme is intended to provide a clear interface for the visitor while allowing this content to come to the fore.
The markup is standards compliant XHTML 1.0 Strict and all layout is handled with CSS2.
All server-side scripts have been developed from scratch in Perl and PHP. Client-side scripting is kept to a minimum for general pages (in fact the only JavaScript run on every page is an original email obfuscater designed to prevent harvesting).
The design has been tested in the current versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera.
